Bringing Your Carvings and Engravings  to Life

Let’s be honest – this is what separates the men from the boys (no offense girls – women  – ladies – I’m digging a hole here – move on!).

We’ve all seen that deer with “Larger than Life” antlers. Guess what?

If the antlers are “larger than life” – it doesn’t look real and it is more of a cartoon than art.

Keith Hone told me that one of the questions that he loves to ask his students is this…

“When a deer is looking at you, which is in front, the ears or the antlers?”

You’d be surprised at how many don’t know the answer. (No cheating now!)

If you don’t know this, how can you possibly engrave or carve a picture of a deer?

You can’t.
